Singapore Trip II - Day 1

Hello everyone, sorry for lack of updates. Been busy lately as the works has piled up since i went for holiday. I have many things and photos to be shared. As this was a short trip to sg, i have no time to visit those places of interest. I only manged to hunt for some popular local dishes at their famous food courts and of coz, shopping...

However, i hv went to some tourist hot spot such as merlion, sentosa island, water world, pink dolphin show, orchard road, clark quey and etc; during my last trip to sg on Nov '09. The Christmas decoration were all set up and they're so nice, you may view my previous sg trip from here: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 & 4.

This picture is taken fr Changi Airport. It is actually 7 sumthing in the morning and most of the shops were closed.

My bare face without any make-up. It's actually good not to make-up when u're on board so that your skin may hv sufficient air and to apply as much moisturiser as u can to keep ur skin hydrated throughout the flight.

First of all, the most important things to be done is to hunt for my lunch. I've been craving for the famous Singapore Chicken Rice since my last trip to sg, which is the 'Tian Tian Hainan Chicken Rice' situated at Maxwell Foodcourt near to China Town. Can u see how long the queue is??

Whoa....i'hv queued for some half an hour in order to buy the chicken rice.

From the same Maxwell food court, i queued again to buy the another popular dish, which is the famous fish head noodles.

The famous fish head noodle. This is quite different fr the ordinary one bcoz the gravy has a very thickening wine flavour. Time to nom.....

I went for a half hour body massage sumwhere in China Town. I don't like tiring trip, do pampers yourself when you're on holiday!

The service was good. They served me with unlimited hot tea of my choice after the massage session.

You can cum here to buy souvenirs, plenty of choices and they're cheap.

Mount Kinabalu is a prominent mountain in south east asia. A good place to escape fr the city.

Paul the octopus

(i hv tried many BB Creamsss, but tis i the best to suit my complexion)

2) Concealer fr MAC to cover my dark eye circles

(*it's a must if u dont want to be a zombie*)

(it last til night, luv it.)

(as u can see, some has fade out, so so only.)

(a gift fr my fren when she travel to Taiwan.)

Woke up early in the morning for work. We'r allowed to wear a bit casual on friday. So this the LOTD.

The golden plate hanging on his neck is actually sumthing related to the Buddhist and for its safety, worried that he will be kidnapped for being too cute.

His is actually wearing pampers and his shirt is actually human-baby shirt. See, Barney just stand at ter for 'n' hours. Seeing him makes me misses my Coffee.

I made special dinner for coffee last week. Got chicken meat la, potato la, carrot la, tomato la and biscuits.

There is a new row of shop at Lintas, highly visible frm Jln Lintas. You can easily see the super big sign board of the Upperstar Bistro and the Yoyo, respectively at each corner. But today im gonna review on the Koganei Japanese Restaurant, which is a chain restaurant fr Hong Kong. Dunno leh? They hv 2 branches in HK and they're now expanding to KK.

This is the general view. Their design is mainly on bamboo and art.

Every walls within the restaurant is an art work, liddis...

Everyone was happy until we see the prices.. omfg, super expensive i must say, Sushi Zanmai at The Garden also not as pricey as here fhl. Did u notice the wall behind us? its a huge painting of a sexy japanese lady in kimono, lying down.

Munch Munch... I luv Sashimi, how bout u?

Raw Kobe Beef, nom nom... its to be dipped with the sauce at the bottom right corner. Erm, if not mistaken, this plate cost us RM99.00

Do u ever heard of Fugu (Blow Fish)? Fugu is a fish which contains deadly poison in the organs. Despite the risk, fugu dishes remains as special feasts in Japan and considered as a great delicacy. So we ordered one plate of fugu. expecting so high.... but.....

@_@ *faint* it taste like preserved sausage. why liddis one???? fhl. It suppose to be fresh/sashimi. Dont u ever order dis. big mistake! they suhd go to Japan and learn how they made fugu sashimi.

This is Japanese style 'nin gou' baked with cheese. Yummy!

Enoki mushroom wrapped with beef slice and grilled with teriyaki sauce. I award this as the best dish of the night. We also has Kim Chi Chicken fried Udon, Snowcrab Porridge, some handrolls, sushi and etc. But too busy to take picture. :P

visiting my Coffee in KL

Its been around 1 month since he told me that he bought a miniature schnauzer for me as our 1st anniversary gift. But yet, i still haven't got the chance to see, touch, hug, hold or watever it yet.... Thus, we throw a short trip to kl to pay him an official visit....

voila... My son, Coffee! I was so reluctant to hold him at first. Feels like i'm holding a bomb in my arms bcoz he is way too small. Only 2 months plus wor... so tense la... What if i can't take good care of him? What is he dies? What if this and that?????

Most of the time, he will follow every-single-step where Soon go.

I bought this bag from doggie paradise for only RM60++. so cheap rite?? I brought the bag all the way fr kk. We use this adidas-look-alike bag to transport him into the hotel room. We walked damn fast, worrying he will bark when we're in the lobby or lift. But surprisingly, he behaves very well, never bark and remain seated while in the car. Good boy Coffee~~ <3

Kundasang - Mount Kinabalu

Mount Kinabalu is the top 5 highest mountain in south east asia with the record of 4014 meters above the mean sea level. It takes 3 days 2 nites to complete the mount climbing mission. So... it's impossible for me to participate in such life threatening activities. My bf and i paid a visit to the foot of Mount Kinabalu on 12 July 2009 and this is our first trip. ^_^

Did u see the water stream at the middle of the Mount Kinabalu and a cap-look-alike-cloud near the peak?

Initially, i tot tat it was a cemetery, but when gettin' closer, only then i realise tat they are actually plant covered with plastic bag. wtf!!

Nah, i din lie you. Really a direct view to the Mount Kinabalu right from your room, or u can sit at the big ass balcony to enjoy the view. The air is so fresh and a bit chilly. I like it so much... They don't need any aircond here. Natural cold wind blend with the nice view. <3

We have BBQ as our dinner that nite. Yummy rite? We bring it all the way fr kk.

Not forgetting a bottle of red wine to pair wit our scrumptious steak. wuhahahah

My Doglicious Son, Coffee

He gave a miniature schnauzer to me on our first anniversary. He actually dislikes this breed as he USED to say ' this bearded black thingy looks hideous, just like an old man'. Somehow, to make me happy, unwillingly he decided to sniff for a miniature schnauzer in KL. Officially, he bought Coffee on 05 Feb 2010, together with Siu Wan and Julian. They went to a few pet shops around KL but still couldn't get 1. When the time is around 6pm, they went to the last pet shop for the day, i.e. Petsmore OUG. The workers already started cleaning up and all the furry pets have been allocated to the rear of the shop. Hopelessly, he glanced through the glass panel and he spotted a miniature schnauzer! Very cute, active, loping around... This is the one!

Singapore Trip - Day 3 and 4

As planned, we woke up early in the morning. We took a train to Vivocity and then interchange another train to Sentosa Island. I was so excited. *grins* I planned to go for the waterworld, theme park and the beach. Unfortunately, the theme park is under construction. I want something thrilling. :(

Eh, i saw another merlion at Sentosa Island. This is the merlion tower where an underground museum is located underneath.

First of all, we hunt for our brunch. We kept walking until we saw a building known as 'Image of Singapore'. There's labelled with food symbol in the Sentosa's tourist guide map. We ordered these: Singapore Laksa with Lobster and a nasi briyani. The tangy laksa was scrumptious, i like the mild spicy flavoring complement with the thick coconut milk. The tauhu was so soft and its so different from the ordinary one. The lobster is a bit small but its flavorsome.

Then we go for the SkyRide, we bought return ticket but forfeited the return ride. So, its recommended to just buy a single ride. The high elevation allows you to see the aerial view of the island, which is quite romantic. ♥♥

Subsequently, we reached Siloso Beach. For me, it's nothing special, maybe because of that I come from Sabah, a place which is popular with it's islands and beaches.

This is 1 of my favourite shot from this Singapore trip. The multi-colour of the "SILOSO" alphabets make the photo looks vivid.

Besides of that, their buses are also dappled with colours.

We are allowed to touch the some of the frenzy fishes at the underwater world. However, the entrance fee was quite expensive but its worth.

Next destination is to watch the dolphin show. However, it's raining and we have to take a bus to get there. When we reached there, the show was postponed due to the heavy rain.

Behind there is the place where the dolphin stay and present their show. The show is too short, about 15 to 20 minutes only. hmm....

Afterall, we're back to VivoCity and had our dinner at there. We dine at Republic, a food court. There are variety of foods. Malay food, chinese food, Western food and etc.

You see, my babe was happy with the foods.

Day 4 - We purposely went back to Maxwell Food Court to eat the Tian Tian Hainan Chicken Rice again. We also ordered this Singapore Laksa, shared by two of us. In fact, this is better as compared to the one which we ate at Sentosa Island. The gravy is much more creamy and mouthwatering.

Singapore Trip - Day 2

We over slept, missed our plan to Sentosa Island. Nonetheless, we proceed with some shopping spree at Orchard Road. Before we start out journey today, we ought for the famous Singapore Chicken Rice. We start walking again and subsequently reached China Town. I was so excited to see the stalls at there until forgotten to capture some photo. However, it's quite similar to the Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur. I manage to grab some souvenir at there such as fridge magnet, key-chains and etc. I bought a box of 3 pcs Takoyaki at there but they're disappointing me, taste miserable and the texture is weird. After that, we saw a food court namely 'Maxwell'.

I saw a very long queue and am wondering what so special about it?

It's the famous Tian Tian Hainan Chicken Rice. We found it! So hungry already but insist to queue. Mmm... The rice was so bouncy and juicy. I think they use the high-grade fragrance rice and add some chicken stock into it, as compared to chicken rice in Malaysia, Malaysian's hawker will use the cheapest rice to cut cost. In addition, the chicken was so tender and smooth. It's skin is fair and soft. Nom..Nom..Nom..... (highly recommended)

Across the road, there is an eye-catching temple. I've no idea what it's name but it looks like a Dojo to me. lolz.

However, nothing to share about the shopping session, no sales, didn't purchase anything special, every shopping centre is more or less the same. But i found this!!!

I'm loving them; they're so cute, lovely, colourful and yummy. They're melting in my mouth.

I wish there is a platter of Laduree Macaron in front of me when i opened my eyes in the morning. I'll marry that person. Yes, i'm serious.

We had our lunch/tea-break at a Japanese-style Burger shop. MyFarnFarn is eating the Teriyaki Chicken Burger. It's sumthing special which we don't see in M'sia.

Then, we take the train to the newly operating shopping mall in Tampines to meet up with his fren. We had our dinner at the nearby food court.

We ate mui choi kau yuk (preserved vege with 3 layers pork belly) and a mixed pork noodle. Nothing special about the foods but i noticed that the food prices in Sg is rather cheap as compared to our so-called 1 M'sia. M'sia boleh!

Singapore Trip - Day 1

Finally touched down at Singapore and meet up wit myFarnFarn. We checked in at Holiday Villa Hotel and then we decided to go out and explore the uniquely Singapore.

We are exploring the Singapore by our own feet. walk walk walk...

MyFarnFarn is busy interpreting the map, deciding where to go...

Farn: "Hmm... Which road to take? Left or Right?"

Full of energy and hitting the road.

Forgotten the name of this place, but it's like a modernized shoplot with variety of food, bar and delicacies.

Finally, here it comes. Our seafood dinner at a Thailand Restaurant situated at Clark Quay, bloody expensive. All this cost us 200+ sing dollar, which is approximately RM500+. Come on, u can have a table full of seafoods for the portion of at least 10 persons. Somehow, the food really taste good. We ordered chrispy fried chicken, shrimps in oat and butter, and the famous Singapore Chillie Crab.

See, the crab is HUGE. The biggest sea-crab i ever ate.

As u can see, there are some fried bun. It's actually meant to be dipped into the chillie crab gravy. The combination is so nice and delicious.

The excessive price is due to the river-side view. Clark Quay is actually a tourist hot-spot. It slowly becomes more and more crowded when night come. Apart from restaurant, here is also popular with bar and bistros. You can see a lot of tourist drinking at here during night time.

Clark Quay is a very romantic place to dine at. U can enjoy the relaxing riverside view, sunset view and it's totally different at night. Couples are encourage to come here to have a short walk at night but try not to dine at there as it's too expensive!

We started our journey to the Merlion.

Tadaa.... Introducing the symbolic Singapore Merlion. This a must-shot picture to every single tourist, or else, it's like u've never been to Singapore.

We're now on our way back to our hotel. However, both of us were in the low-battery mode. We are looking for Taxi. Unfortunately, we can't spot any Taxi nearby so we have to keep walking. After a few minutes walk, we manage to hop into a Taxi. When i reached our room, i wanted to look at the photos taken today. BUT MY CAMERA WAS NOT IN MY HANDBAG!!!!! Gosh, i left my camera in the Taxi!! Quickly, we went down to the reception and seek for help.

Bellboy: What is the car plate?

Us: Dunno o..

Bellboy: Then, what is the Taxi's company name?

Us: Huh, also dunno eh... (getting more nervous)

Bellboy: Do you remember what is the colour of the Taxi?

Us: Can't remember. (Darn, so hopeless now)

FarnFarn: But i remember the driver's name.

MyFarnFarn is the man! We told them about 'where we take the Taxi', 'at what time' and 'the driver's name'. The bellboy made a few calls to the taxi companies but yet still failed. When i'm about to give up, he suddenly said that he able to contact the respective driver and the driver will send the camera back to us with the conditions that we are paying for the taxi fares. Of coz yes please... and i'm willing to pay extra as long as i can get back my camera. I want my camera back. Oooo... i feel so blessed. Muacks Muack~

This is the view taken from the lobby/ground floor of the Holiday Villa Hotel, where we are staying. The lift was designated to be hanging outside and the building was tall. We are staying at 26 level. Good nite rest~ xoxo.

Christmas is coming. My birthday is coming. I feel so excited. Wondering what gifts will i receive this year. Up to now, i have received one precious return tickets to-from kk-sdk, from a very good fren of mine, which is from 18th to 20th Dec. I miss my mummy, siu bak & my family. Cant wait to go back to see them, but i know its gonna be a tiring 3 days-2 nites trip. I'll reach sdk early in d morning, abt 8am, then my WanLui aunty will fetch me fr the airport, then we will directly head to my mum's stall to eat za-yuk-mee. nom, nom, nom...

On friday nite, i suppose will hang out wit tho gals (may&carmen). Then saturday afternoon will yum cha with them as well. Finally, sat nite will have a fabulous dinner at home, celebrating the "gou Dung" in advance, bcoz ill be going bac to kk the next day..

I hv already set up the x'mas tree at marshmallow. It's so cute and lovely.
